Getting Started

The basics of getting set up

What is Pathalytics?

Pathalytics is a revenue attribution platform. It tracks the complete journey from a visitor's first click on your website through to the final sale — then tells you which campaign, channel, or ad actually produced the revenue.

Most businesses know they're spending money on marketing. Pathalytics shows you which marketing is making money and which is wasting it.

How does it work?

You install one tracking script on your website. That script quietly records every visitor — where they came from, what campaign brought them, which pages they viewed, and what actions they took.

When that visitor eventually becomes a lead or makes a purchase, Pathalytics automatically connects the sale back to the original visit. You see the full path: Google Ad → pricing page → phone call → quoted → won → £4,200.

Nobody on your team needs to do anything differently. The system works behind the scenes.

How long does setup take?

Core Under 10 minutes. Create an account, copy the tracking script, paste it on your website. Data starts flowing immediately.

Connected You configure your account to connect your existing platforms. Step-by-step guides walk you through each one. If you prefer, a partner can handle the setup for you.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. 14 days, full features, no credit card required. Install the script and see real data from your own website within minutes. If it's useful, keep it. If not, no hard feelings.

Does my team need to change how they work?

No. This is a core principle. Your salesperson keeps selling exactly how they always have — using their own email, their own CRM, their own process. Pathalytics never sends them reminders, asks them to log anything, or adds steps to their workflow.

The only person who interacts with Pathalytics is whoever manages your marketing budget. They check the dashboard to see which campaigns are producing revenue. That's it.

How It Works

Understanding attribution

How does attribution work?

When a lead or sale comes in, Pathalytics runs several automatic checks to connect it back to the original website visit. It uses information like email addresses, timing, and visitor behaviour to make the match.

Most matches happen instantly. The rest resolve automatically over time as the lead interacts with your business again. No manual work required — it doesn't matter if the match takes 5 minutes or 5 weeks.

What if a lead can't be attributed immediately?

Your dashboard shows an insight card: "You have 6 unmatched leads this week — 4 from phone calls, 2 from direct enquiries."

If you want to speed things up, you can copy a tracking link from the lead's detail page and paste it into any email you'd send to that person anyway. When they click it, the match resolves instantly.

But most of the time, it resolves on its own. When the lead eventually returns to your website, opens a follow-up email, or interacts with your business digitally — the attribution completes automatically.

How does it track sales on Shopify, Stripe, or PayPal?

On the Connected plan, when a visitor starts a checkout, Pathalytics automatically captures the transaction and attributes it back to the campaign that brought the customer to your website.

This happens automatically. No plugins, no API keys, no manual configuration. It works with whatever checkout platform you use — Shopify, WooCommerce, Square Online, Stripe, and more.

How is this different from Google Analytics?

Google Analytics tells you how many people visited your website and what they did while they were there. Pathalytics tells you which of those visitors became paying customers and how much revenue each marketing channel actually produced.

GA stops at the website. Pathalytics follows the journey through to the sale — even if that sale happens over the phone, through a booking platform, via a CRM deal, or on a different domain entirely.

They're complementary tools. GA for understanding website behaviour. Pathalytics for understanding revenue.

What if someone calls us instead of filling in a form?

If your phone number is clickable on your website, Pathalytics records the exact timestamp. When the lead is created after the call, the system automatically matches the two based on timing.

One visitor on the page, one phone call at the right time — attributed automatically. Full attribution path resolved, no human involved.

Plans & Pricing

Choosing the right plan

What's the difference between Core and Connected?

One question decides it: where does your conversion data come from?

Core For businesses where conversions happen through our tools — our forms, our call widgets, our CRM. You capture leads on your website, manage deals in the Pathalytics CRM, and see revenue attributed to campaigns through deal values.

Connected £149/mo Everything in Core, plus attribution for conversions that happen in your existing external systems. Online orders from Shopify, bookings from Calendly, form submissions from Typeform, deals from HubSpot — all automatically attributed.

Both tiers include the full CRM, analytics, visitor journeys, and revenue dashboard.

What's the £500 onboarding fee for Connected?

Connected involves configuring your account to connect your existing platforms — online stores, booking systems, CRMs. You can do this yourself using our setup guides, or a partner can handle it for you.

If you use a partner, there's a one-time £500 onboarding fee — they handle the full setup and test everything end-to-end. After that, everything runs automatically.

Can I track multiple websites?

Yes. Your first domain is included in both plans. Each additional domain is £19/mo. Every domain gets its own campaign attribution and you can filter the entire dashboard by domain.

Can I upgrade or downgrade?

You can upgrade from Core to Connected at any time. You can configure your external platform connections yourself, or use a partner for a one-time onboarding fee.

You can downgrade from Connected to Core at any time. Your existing data stays — you just won't receive new records from your external platforms.

Do you replace my CRM?

No. Pathalytics includes a lightweight CRM with a simple pipeline (New → Contacted → Quoted → Won/Lost), but it's designed to complement your existing tools, not replace them.

Your team keeps using HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, or whatever they already use. On Connected, Pathalytics captures deal data from your CRM automatically — it never writes back or changes anything in your CRM.

Privacy & Data

How we handle your data

What data do you collect?

The tracking script captures: pages visited, where the visitor came from, which campaign brought them, device type, and how they interact with your website. When a visitor converts into a lead or customer, their contact details are captured to enable attribution.

We don't collect personal data from visitors unless they voluntarily submit it through a form or widget on your website. No fingerprinting and no cross-site tracking.

Is it GDPR compliant?

Pathalytics is consent-aware. The tracking script checks for common consent management platforms and respects the visitor's cookie preferences. If consent is declined, no tracking data is collected.

All data is stored securely and belongs to you. We never sell, share, or use your data for any purpose other than providing the service to you.

Where is data stored?

All data is stored in secure, encrypted databases. Each account's data is isolated — no cross-account access. You can export or delete your data at any time.

Technical

Compatibility and integration

Which platforms does it work with?

Core Pathalytics tools — Form builder, call widgets, CRM pipeline, session tracking. Works on any website.

Connected Online stores — WooCommerce, Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, Square, Ecwid, Easy Digital Downloads, BigCommerce, Weebly

Connected External platforms — Typeform, JotForm, Gravity Forms, Contact Form 7, Cognito Forms, SimplyBook, Calendly, Acuity, Fresha, Timely, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive — and more

Will it slow down my website?

No. The tracking script loads asynchronously and doesn't block page rendering. It's a small, lightweight file that runs after your page has loaded. Most visitors will never notice it.

Does it work with my website builder?

If you can add a script tag to your website, Pathalytics works. That covers WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, custom-built sites, and any platform that lets you add custom code.

Do I need to give you API access to my CRM or payment platform?

No. Pathalytics never asks for API keys, OAuth tokens, or login credentials to your other platforms. The tracking script handles the website side automatically. For Connected, data is captured from your existing platforms without requiring API access. There's nothing to authenticate, nothing to maintain, and nothing that can break when a platform updates their API.

Will it interfere with my existing checkout or forms?

No. The script is specifically designed to observe and record without interfering. It never modifies your checkout flow, form behaviour, or page content. Your customers will never know it's there.

We've tested extensively against live Shopify, Stripe, and PayPal checkouts to ensure zero interference with the buying process.
